Ideas
A few places to start.
Name and weight
“Hello, Noah” as the title and “3.4 kg of stardust” in the message line.
Soft for the nursery
Blush and Ivory are made for nurseries; both print beautifully on matte paper.
A gift for new parents
Ask for the birth time quietly. Arriving with this a week later lands every time.
Born in the daytime? The stars are still there; the map shows the sky exactly as it was, just without the sunlight. Every order includes a matching phone wallpaper, so the new parents see it every time they check the baby monitor.
Try it live
Make it yours. It redraws as you type.
Every star is recalculated as you type. What you see here is exactly the file you download.

Questions
Good to know.
Completely. We calculate the position of more than 5,000 stars from the European Space Agency's Hipparcos catalogue, plus the Moon (in its real phase) and planets, for the exact coordinates, date and local time you choose, time zone and daylight saving included. It's the sky you would have seen looking straight up.
Pick the closest hour you remember. The sky turns slowly, so a guess within an hour or two still gives a faithful picture of that night. 22:00 is a lovely default for an evening sky.
The star map is your design in the style you chose, as a 4800 × 6400 px PNG and a print-ready PDF, sharp up to 45 × 60 cm (18 × 24 in). The gift collection adds the same sky in all six styles and a print pack with a page for every common frame size, from A4 to 50 × 70 cm and 8 × 10 to 18 × 24 in. Both include a matching phone wallpaper.
Take the file to any print shop or upload it to any online printing service. Ask for matte or satin paper of 200 gsm or more. The print pack has pages sized for standard frames, so it fits the frame you already love without any cropping.
Instantly. Your files are ready to download the moment your payment goes through, wherever you are in the world. That makes it a lovely last-minute gift: download tonight, print tomorrow.
Of course. Download it and print it yourself, or forward the files so they can print it at the size they like. Many people print it and frame it before the big day; others send the file with a note the moment it matters.
Email us from the address you ordered with and we'll send corrected files, free. If a file won't open or looks wrong, we'll fix it or refund you.
